Realm of Soul: Lam Tian-xing Solo Exhibition 

With a passion for sharing his artistic knowledge and skills, Lam Tian-xing engages audiences worldwide with his contemporary techniques in applying Chinese water ink and paint. In his solo exhibition, "Realm of Soul" in Milan, he displayed his unique style which seamlessly integrates the traditional framework of Chinese ink color painting with the fluidity and vibrancy of Western techniques.

 

Lam's paintings have earned recognition at the highest level, selected to represent Hong Kong aboard the ShenZhou 5 and 6 spaceship. Throughout his artistic journey, Lam has perfected his style, employing rich, dynamic colors to create stunning impressionist works.

 

The Lotus holds a special place in Lam's heart and serves as his life's motto. To him, the Lotus symbolizes supreme purity, eternity, vitality, and chastity. Born near Lotus Peak, Lam is drawn to the beauty of this delicate flower, which remains pure and sparkling, floating modestly on misty ponds, no matter the surroundings. In his art, Lam reflects life's journey and emotions, not simply painting the Lotus as an object, but as a symbol of its deeper meanings.

 

Lam's travels to Tibet, three times over, inspired his "Tibet in Tian Xing" series, capturing the essence of the simple life and genuine smiles he encountered. Despite the challenges posed by the high altitude, he was moved by the beauty of the landscapes and the warmth and purity of the human relationships he experienced.  Lotus and Tibet have touched the soul of the artist and his audiences alike.
