Clover Art Curator
Oasis Mirage:
2009 Hong Kong International Sculpture Symposium & Exhibition
Before the opening of M+ Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural Area in Hong Kong, Michelle was honored to serve as the curator for a groundbreaking outdoor sculpture exhibition on the same land. The exhibition, which took place in 2009, was a collaborative effort with the Hong Kong Sculpture Society and marked the first large-scale outdoor sculpture exhibition in Hong Kong.
With the theme of "Oasis Mirage," the exhibition brought together 14 sculptors from around the world, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, Zimbabwe, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, and the United States. These talented artists created works using materials such as marble and wood, which were then displayed along the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade.
In addition to the exhibition, Michelle also organized symposiums, seminars, and workshops for students, all of which blended seamlessly with the beauty of Victoria Harbour. This experience was a testament to Michelle's commitment to promoting cultural exchange through contemporary art exhibitions and her dedication to making art accessible and educational for all.
