La Vie Est Belle : Elisabeth Cibot Solo Exhibition (Le French May program)

Elisabeth Cibot is a preeminent sculptor, born into an artistic dynasty in France. Her exceptional talent in figurative creations has been showcased in a plethora of exhibitions and permanent public installations, most notably the "Homage to Pope Jean-Paul II," a three-meter statue situated in Lyon. Throughout her career, Cibot has been honored with numerous awards, including the prestigious Gold Medal for Sculpture, awarded by the Salon Nationale des Beaux-Arts at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

 

In her debut exhibition in Hong Kong, held in collaboration with the renowned cultural event "Le French May," Cibot presented her acclaimed series of figurative sculptures, "Moving Figures" and "The Plump Women." The exhibition featured more than ten of her signature works, each a testament to her exceptional skill and artistry.

 

Through "Moving Figures," Cibot explores the journey of life and the pursuit of self-realization. In "The Plump Women," she challenges traditional notions of beauty and instead focuses on the presence and emotions conveyed through her vivid expressions and gestures. Cibot imbues each of her sculptures with her abundant passion and love, making them truly captivating works of art.
